原忠順の人事について、東京での交渉の模様を伝えた書簡である。
原を鍋島直彬の後任の県令とすることは却下されたこと、
原の位階の件は引き続き要望中だが未だ実現していないこと、
原の内閣大書記官転任の件は大隈重信、岩倉具視、伊藤博文が力になってくれそうだとのこと。

Title: A letter from Nabeshima Naoyoshi to Hara Tadayuki

A letter to tell the situation about Hara Tadayuki's transfer which Nabeshima Naoyoshi discussed in Tokyo.
He wrote that his request which he had asked to appoint Hara next Prefectural Governor of Okinawa was declined,
that the promotion of Ikai (the court rank) for Hara was still pending while Nabeshima continued to demand it.
And also he wrote that ōkuma Shigenobu, Iwakura Tomomi, and Itō Hirobumi would help Hara for his transfer to a Senior Executive Secretary
of Cabinet.
